Reviews and Ratings
I had a great time at Newport Dunes. The location is wonderful, right on the water and close to bike paths and Balboa Island. The beach front site we had was spacious and comfortable, though some non-premium spots were quite small. A downside was the poor Wi-Fi, which was not very reliable during our stay. Overall, it was enjoyable, especially with the convenient camp store and nice amenities for families.
Our stay at Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort and Marina was quite enjoyable, offering a unique blend of camping and luxury. The location is absolutely delightful, especially with its proximity to the beach, perfect for families looking for fun activities. The friendly atmosphere among fellow campers added to our experience. However, there were a few downsides, such as the limitations with the shower facilities and the higher price point for larger sites, which may not be ideal for everyone.
My stay at Newport Dunes Resort and Marina had its ups and downs. The location was fantastic, just a short walk from the ocean with great amenities for families. While the campgrounds were well-kept and there were lots of activities for both kids and adults, I was disappointed with some maintenance issues and the limited space. Overall, I had a lovely time and would recommend it to those who enjoy beach camping, though be prepared for some quirks.
We had a decent time at Newport Dunes overall. The area is beautiful and serene, with a nice view of the bay and plenty of space. However, the cottages left much to be desired, as they felt worn, with uncomfortable beds and limited kitchen supplies. While there were some fun activities available, a few technical hiccups like a water shortage and sewer backup really put a damper on things.
My stay at the RV park was a mixed bag. While the amenities like the pool were quite nice and having full hookups made my experience smoother, the cottages were far from what I'd hoped. I was disappointed with the condition of the cottages and the constant noise from airplanes made it hard to relax. However, if you enjoy being social and close to a bay, this might be a good fit for you.
